           What to

Our Worship service is at 9 a.m. You may park on the street or in the Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home parking lot kitty-corner across Central Avenue.

During worship, we hear about God's grace in readings from Scripture and interpreted in the pastor's meditation. We are touched by God's grace when we pass the peace to one another, and we taste God's grace in the bread and wine of Holy Communion.

Our Lutheran worship services are liturgical, which just means that there is a standard order of things that happen during the service during which we confess our sins, we hear the Word of God, we confess our faith, we sing, and we pray together. God speaks to us and we speak to Him. Services usually last an hour or a little longer. When we sing, we are accompanied by a pipe organ or a grand piano. We have a vocal choir and a handbell choir that add their talents to the service once a month or so. We celebrate Holy Communion every Sundays of the month. Everyone is welcome to come to the table and receive the gift of Jesus' body and blood which was given and shed for all.

Children are an important part of Sunday morning. They are very welcome at worship. There are children's bulletins and activity bags available in the Narthex to keep them busy.

Fellowship is a vital part of Sunday morning at Zion. After the service, there is a Fellowship Hour with coffee and treats provided by members.

Education is another important component of Sunday morning. Sunday School begins at 10:15 a.m. after worship (September - April) and there are classes for everyone from preschool to 6th grade. For adults, there is a Tuesday morning Bible study at 10:30, and there are frequent Bible study
series for adults led by our pastor at 10:15 on Sunday morning.
